Gongda Galvanizing is a licensed producer of Galfan® coated steel wire. The company commenced production of Galfan® coated steel wire by its single dip coating process in 1996. In addition to the normal advantages of:
l 2 to 3 times increase in corrosion resistance
l Increased coating formability to yield no cracking on a single diameters wrap test
l Improved coating adhesion especially on heavy coating weights
The single dip process further reduces the thickness of the intermetallic layer and thus gives increased formability under extreme conditions such as dead heading of fixings.
Gongda Galvanizing is a small scale producer with a capacity of 12,000 to 15,000 tonnes per year. Large enough to be able to supply most needs & small enough to care.
Galfan® coated high &low carbon steel wire is available in the diameter ranges 1.6 mm to 6 mm and coating weight from 50-300 g/m2
A new, improved facility will commence production in the first half of 2010.
